Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 18th Replacement Battalion
(Companies A, B, and C, as the 403d, 404th, and 405th Replacement Companies, respectively - hereafter separate lineages)
Inactivated 23 December 1945 in Italy
Redesignated 21 September 1975 as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 18th Personnel and Administration Battalion, allotted to the Regular Army, and activated at Fort Bragg, North Carolina
Inactivated 17 September 1990 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina
Redesignated 16 October 1994 as the 18th Personnel Services Battalion and activated at Fort Bragg, North Carolina
