  • Activated 20 June 1942 at Camp Edwards, Massachusetts
  • Reorganized and redesignated 27 June 1944 as the 232d Army Ground Forces Band
  • Inactivated 25 September 1945 in Italy
  • Redesignated 17 May 1947 as the 232d Army Band
  • Redesignated 18 June 1948 as the 10th Infantry Division Band
  • Allotted 25 June 1948 to the Regular Army
  • Activated 1 July 1948 at Fort Riley, Kansas
  • Inactivated 14 June 1958 at Fort Benning, Georgia
  • Redesignated 3 November 1987 as the 10th Mountain Division Band and activated at Fort Drum, New York
