  • Inactivated 30 November 1945 in France
  • Allotted 25 June 1948 to the Regular Army
  • Activated 6 July 1948 at Camp Breckinridge, Kentucky
  • Inactivated 27 May 1949 at Camp Breckinridge, Kentucky
  • Activated 25 August 1950 at Camp Breckinridge, Kentucky
  • Inactivated 7 November 1953 at Camp Breckinridge, Kentucky
  • Activated 15 May 1954 at Fort Jackson, South Carolina
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 July 1956 as the Security Platoon and Band, Headquarters, Headquarters and Service Company, 101st Airborne Division Support Group
  • Reorganized and redesignated 25 April 1957 as the 101st Airborne Division Band
  • Consolidated 3 February 1964 with Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, Support Group, 101st Airborne Division, and consolidated unit reorganized and redesignated as Headquarters, Headquarters Company and Band, 101st Airborne Division Support Command
  • Band element withdrawn 21 September 1973 from Headquarters, Headquarters Company and Band, 101st Airborne Division Support Command, and consolidated with the 101st Adjutant General Company; consolidated unit designated as the 101st Adjutant General Company
  • Band element withdrawn 1 October 1986 from the 101st Adjutant General Company and reorganized and redesignated as the 101st Airborne Division Band
