  • Organized and Federally recognized 25 October 1927 in the Arkansas National Guard at North Little Rock as the Band, Service Company, 153d Infantry
  • Withdrawn 1 May 1940 from the Service Company and reorganized as the Band, 153d Infantry
  • Inducted into Federal service 23 December 1940 at North Little Rock
  • Reorganized and redesignated 17 July 1944 as the 106th Army Ground Forces Band
  • Inactivated 15 January 1945 at Camp Campbell, Kentucky
  • Reorganized and Federally recognized 22 October 1946 in the Arkansas National Guard at North Little Rock as the 106th Army Ground Forces Band
  • Redesignated 17 May 1947 as the 106th Army Band
  • Ordered into active Federal service 24 September 1957 at North Little Rock; released from active Federal service 24 October 1957 and reverted to state control
  • Location changed 1 October 1987 to Little Rock
  • HOME STATION: Little Rock
