Mustered into Federal service 19 June 1916 at Camp Harry J. Jones, Arizona

Reorganized and redesignated 1 July 1916 as the Band Section, Headquarters Company, 1st Regiment Infantry

Drafted into Federal service 5 August 1917

Redesignated 3 October 1917 as the Band Section, Headquarters Company, 158th Infantry, an element of the 40th Division

Demobilized 3 May 1919 at Camp Kearney, California

Reorganized and Federally recognized 22 June 1923 in the Arizona National Guard at Phoenix as the Band Section, Service Company, 158th Infantry, an element of the 45th Division

Reorganized and redesignated 1 May 1940 as the Band, 158th Infantry

Inducted into Federal service 16 September 1940 at Phoenix

(158th Infantry relieved 23 February 1942 from assignment to the 45th Division)

Reorganized and redesignated 22 June 1944 as the 108th Army Ground Forces Band

Inactivated 17 January 1946 in Japan

Reorganized and Federally recognized 14 April 1947 in the Arizona National Guard at Phoenix as the 108th Army Ground Forces Band

Redesignated 17 May 1947 as the 108th Army Band
