Redesignated in 1921 as the Band Section, Service Company, 34th Infantry

Separated from the Service Company 28 June 1927 and redesignated as the Band, 34th Infantry

Inactivated 5 June 1940 at Fort Benning, Georgia

Activated 8 October 1942 at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and redesignated as the Band, 136th Infantry

Reorganized and redesignated 10 January 1944 as the 283d Army Band

Reorganized and redesignated 12 May 1944 as the 283d Army Ground Forces Band

Inactivated 10 December 1946 in the Philippine Islands

Redesignated 17 May 1947 as the 283d Army Band

Activated 24 February 1955 at Fort Benning, Georgia
