Reorganized and redesignated 16 August 1924 as the Band Section, Service Battery, 198th Coast Artillery

Inducted into Federal service 16 September 1940 at Wilmington

Reorganized and redesignated 1 March 1944 as the 287th Army Band

Reorganized and redsignated 1 June 1944 as the 287th Army Ground Forces Band

Inactivated 28 February 1946 in Japan

Redesignated 17 May 1947 as the 287th Army Band

Reorganized and Federally recognized 23 July 1947 in the Delaware National Guard at Wilmington as the 287th Army Band
