  • Activated 2 September 1945 in the Philippines
  • Inactivated 25 January 1949 in Korea
  • Redesignated 1 April 1955 as the 457th Military Government Company and allotted to the Army Reserve
  • Activated 31 March 1955 in Starkville, Mississippi
  • Reorganized and redesignated 31 May 1957 as the 457th Civil Affairs and Military Government Company
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 January 1960 as the 457th Civil Affairs Company
  • Inactivated 31 January 1968 in Starkville, Mississippi
  • Redesignated 12 January 2009 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 457th Civil Affairs Battalion (organic elements concurrently constituted)
  • Battalion activated 16 October 2010 in Germany
  • (Company D ordered into active military service 26 September 2012 in Germany; released from active military service 30 October 2013 and reverted to reserve status)
  • (Company B ordered into active military service 23 May 2013 in Germany)
