  • (Location of battalion headquarters changed 14 October 1925 to Wilmington, Delaware; on 11 October 1928 to New York, New York; on 5 April 1937 to Elizabeth, New Jersey)
  • Ordered into active military service 29 January 1943 at Camp Swift, Texas, as the 515th Engineer Water Supply Battalion
  • Reorganized and redesignated 26 November 1943 as the 1503d Engineer Water Supply Company
  • Inactivated 24 February 1946 in Korea
  • Redesignated 5 February 1947 as the 428th Engineer Water Supply Company
  • Activated 7 April 1947 at Bay City, Michigan
  • (Organized Reserves redesignated 25 March 1948 as the Organized Reserve Corps; redesignated 9 July 1952 as the Army Reserve)
  • Ordered into active military service 14 August 1950 at Bay City, Michigan; released from active military service 13 April 1954 and reverted to reserve status
  • Inactivated 14 September 1954 at Bay City, Michigan
  • Redesignated 22 April 1959 as the 428th Engineer Company
  • Activated 1 May 1959 at Caro, Michigan
  • Inactivated 31 January 1963 at Caro, Michigan
