  • Organized and Federally recognized 27 June 1927 in the Illinois National Guard at Lawrenceville as Company L, 130th Infantry, an element of the 33d Division
  • Inducted into Federal Service 5 March 1941 at Lawrenceville
  • (33d Division redesignated 21 February 1942 as 33d Infantry Division)
  • Inactivated 5 February 1946 in Japan
  • (130th Infantry relieved 5 July 1946 from assigment to the 33d Infantry Division and assigned to the 44th Infantry Division)
  • Reorganized and Federally recognized 27 October 1947 at Lawrenceville as Company D, 130th Infantry
  • Ordered into active Federal service 15 February 1952 at Lawrenceville
  • Released 10 October 1954 from active Federal service and reverted to state control; concurrently consolidated with Company G, 130th Infantry (organized and Federally recognized 22 March 1954 at Lawrenceville), and consolidated unit designated as Company G, 130th Infantry, an element of the 33d Infantry Division
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 March 1959 as Company E, 1st Battle Group, 130th Infantry
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 April 1963 as Company C, 1st Battalion, 130th Infantry
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 December 1965 as the 1st Rifle Platoon, Company C, 1st Battalion, 130th Infantry
  • Consolidated 1 February 1968 with the 3d Rifle Platoon, Company A, 3d Battalion, 130th Infantry (organized and Federally recognized 1 December 1965 at Lawrenceville), and consolidated unit converted and redesignated as the 2d and 3d Engineer Platoons, Company B, 682d Engineer Battalion, an element of the 47th Infantry Division
  • Reorganized and redesignated 8 January 1972 as Detachment 1, Company B, 682d Engineer Battalion
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 October 1974 as Company B, 682d Engineer Battalion
  • (682d Engineer Battalion relieved 10 February 1991 from assignment to the 47th Infantry Division and assigned to the 34th Infantry Division)
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 October 1996 as the 135th Engineer Company and relieved from assignment to the 34th Infantry Division
  • Ordered into active Federal service 19 January 2005 at Lawrenceville; released 1 October 2006 from active Federal service and reverted to state control
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 September 2006 as the 631st Engineer Company
