        Activated 1 January 1943 at March Field, California

        Inactivated 15 March 1946 on Okinawa

        Allotted 15 February 1949 to the Organized Reserve Corps

        Activated 4 March 1949 with Headquarters at New York, New York

        (Location of Headquarters changed 7 March 1951 to Poughkeepsie, New York)

        (Organized Reserve Corps redesignated 9 July 1952 as the Army Reserve)

        Redesignated 1 January 1957 as the 854th Engineer Battalion

        (Location of Headquarters changed 10 September 1959 to Kingston, New York; on
31 May 1984 to Newburgh, New York; on 16 September 1991 to New Windsor, New York; in 1996 to Kingston, New York)

        Ordered into active military service 7 December 2003 at home stations; released from active military service 3 June 2005 and reverted to reserve status

        (Lettered companies inactivated 16 September 2008 at home stations; Support Company concurrently constituted and activated)
