  • Redesignated 27 May 1952 as the 801st General Hospital

  • Location changed about 1990 to Fort Sheridan, Illinois
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 September 1995 as the 801st Combat Support Hospital
  • Ordered into active military service 24 February 2003 at Fort Sheridan, Illinois; released from active military service 24 November 2004 and reverted to reserve status
