• Organized and Federally recognized 28 January 2009 at Jefferson City
• Ordered into active Federal service 27 August 2011 at Jefferson City; released from active Federal service 29 September 2012 and reverted to state control
• Consolidated 15 March 2014 with the 135th Support Detachment (organized and Federally recognized 21 September 2010 at Jefferson City), and consolidated unit designated as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 229th Medical Battalion
