             Constituted 13 January 1945 in the Army of the United States as the 418th Military Police Gate and Patrol Detachment

            Activated 21 March 1945 in England

            Redesignated 21 April 1945 as the 418th Military Police Patrol Detachment

            Inactivated 15 October 1945 at Camp Claiborne, Louisiana

            Redesignated 22 November 1948 as the 418th Military Police Criminal Investigation Detachment and allotted to the Organized Reserve Corps

            Activated 18 January 1949 at Hayti, Missouri

            Inactivated 15 November 1950 at Hayti, Missouri

            (Organized Reserve Corps redesignated 9 July 1952 as the Army Reserve)

            Redesignated 16 September 1988 as the 418th Military Police Detachment and activated at Daytona Beach, Florida

            Ordered into active military service 3 January 1991 at Daytona Beach, Florida; released from active military service 26 May 1991 and reverted to reserve status

            Location changed 15 March 2000 to Orlando, Florida

            Ordered into active military service 7 December 2003 at Orlando, Florida; released from active military service 3 June 2005 and reverted to reserve status

            Ordered into active military service 4 June 2007 at Orlando, Florida; released from active military service 7 July 2008 and reverted to reserve status
