            Activated 22 January 1943 at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland

            Inactivated 3 November 1945 at Camp Shanks, New York

            Redesignated 13 August 1946 as the 2d Ordnance Bomb Disposal Squad and allotted to the Regular Army

            Activated 20 December 1946 in the Philippine Islands

            Inactivated 1 June 1949 in the Philippine Islands

            Redesignated 11 September 1950 as the 2d Explosive Ordnance Disposal Squad

            Activated 25 September 1950 at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland

            Reorganized and redesignated 20 May 1955 as the 2d Ordnance Detachment

            Reorganized and redesignated 16 June 1998 as the 702d Ordnance Company
