        Reorganized and redesignated 15 January 1945 as the 148th Ordnance Service Detachment

        Redesignated 5 April 1945 as the 148th Ordnance Bomb Disposal Squad

        Inactivated 30 October 1945 at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland

        Redesignated 22 January 1951 as the 48th Explosive Ordnance Disposal Squad and allotted to the Regular Army

        Activated 5 September 1951 at Raritan Arsenal, New Jersey

        Reorganized and redesignated 22 June 1954 as the 48th Ordnance Detachment

        Reorganized and redesignated 16 June 1997 as the 748th Ordnance Company
