  • Constituted 2 May 1953 in the Regular Army as the 12th Consolidation Company
  • Activated 27 May 1953 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina
  • Inactivated 21 January 1956 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina
  • Redesignated 4 October 1961 as the 12th Psychological Warfare Company
  • Activated 15 November 1961 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina
  • Reorganized and redesignated 10 November 1965 as the 12th Psychological Operations Company
  • Inactivated 25 July 1968 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina
  • Withdrawn 30 October 1975 from the Regular Army and allotted to the Army Reserve; concurrently activated at Upper Marlboro, Maryland
  • Reorganized and redesignated 16 June 1996 as the 312th Psychological Operations Company
  • Ordered into active military service 18 February 2003 at Upper Marlboro, Maryland; released from active military service 13 February 2004 and reverted to reserve status
  • Ordered into active military service 29 November 2007 at Upper Marlboro, Maryland; released from active military service 1 January 2009 and reverted to reserve status
  • Ordered into active military service 23 January 2011 at Upper Marlboro, Maryland; released from active military service 26 February 2012 and reverted to reserve status
