Constituted 1 December 1990 in the Kentucky Army National Guard as Company C, 3d Battalion, 123d Armor, an element of the 35th Infantry Division

Organized and Federally recognized 5 December 1990 at Shelbyville

Reorganized and redesignated 1 May 1995 as Company C, 1st Battalion, 123d Armor

Consolidated 1 September 2002 with the 231st Military Intelligence Company (organized and Federally recognized 18 December 2001 at Shelbyville), and consolidated unit designated as the 231st Military Intelligence Company; concurrently, relieved from assignment to the 35th Infantry Division

Ordered into active Federal service 4 January 2005 at Shelbyville; released from active Federal service 1 October 2006 and reverted to state control

Location changed 1 September 2006 to Louisville

Converted and redesignated 1 September 2008 as the 149th Signal Company

HOME STATION: Louisville
