               Inactivated 10 July 1946 in Germany

               Redesignated 30 December 1946 as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 505th Signal Service Group, and activated at Fort Shafter, Hawaii

               Inactivated 18 October 1948 at Fort Shafter, Hawaii

               Redesignated 4 February 1952 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 505th Signal Group, and allotted to the Regular Army

              Activated 5 March 1952 at Camp San Luis Obispo, California

              Reorganized and redesignated 23 November 1953 as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 505th Signal Group

              Inactivated 10 September 1965 in Germany

            Withdrawn 9 February 2009 from the Regular Army and allotted to the Army Reserve; concurrently redesignated as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 505th Signal Brigade

            Activated 16 September 2011 at Las Vegas, Nevada
