  • Constituted 1 September 2008 in the Oklahoma Army National Guard as the 271st Support Battalion and organized from new and existing units with Headquarters at Altus
  • Ordered into active Federal service 19 August 2008 at home stations; released from active Federal service 22 September 2009 and reverted to state control
  • Location of Headquarters changed 1 July 2010 to Mustang
