  • Reorganized and redesignated 27 February 1945 as the 166th Transportation Corps Boat Detachment
  • Redesignated 25 April 1945 as the 166th Transportation Corps Boat Crew
  • Inactivated 23 July 1946 at New Orleans, Louisiana
  • Redesignated 4 December 1950 as the 545th Transportation Harbor Craft Detachment and allotted to the Regular Army; concurrently activated at Seattle, Washington
  • Inactivated 20 March 1954 at San Francisco, California
  • Redesignated 16 August 1957 as the 545th Transportation Detachment
  • Activated 12 September 1957 at Fort Riley, Kansas
  • Inactivated 25 November 1968 in Vietnam
  • Assigned 1 September 1969 to the 1st Cavalry Division and activated in Vietnam
  • Inactivated 15 April 1971 in Vietnam and relieved from assignment to the 1st Cavalry Division
  • Activated 16 September 1979 at Fort Riley, Kansas
  • Inactivated 15 September 1997 at Fort Riley, Kansas
