Reorganized and redesignated 15 January 1877 in the Iowa State Militia as Company A, 6th Infantry Regiment

(Iowa State Militia redesignated 3 March 1878 as the Iowa National Guard)

Redesignated 30 April 1892 as Company A, 4th Infantry Regiment

Mustered into Federal service 25 May 1898 at Des Moines as Company A, 52d Iowa Volunteer Infantry; mustered out of Federal service 30 October 1898 at Des Moines
 
Reorganized in November 1902 in the Iowa National Guard at Mason City as Company A, 56th Infantry Regiment

Redesignated 4 July 1915 as Company A, 2d Infantry Regiment

Mustered into Federal service 28 June 1916 at Camp Dodge, Iowa; mustered out of Federal service in early 1917 at Des Moines

Called into Federal service 27 July 1917; drafted into Federal service 5 August 1917

Reorganized and redesignated 1 October 1917 as Company A, 125th Machine Gun Battalion, an element of the 34th Division

Demobilized 18 February 1919 at Camp Grant, Illinois

Reorganized and Federally recognized 19 March 1924 in the Iowa National Guard at Mason City as Company F, 133d Infantry, an element of the 34th Division (later redesignated as the 34th Infantry Division)

Inducted into Federal service 10 February 1941 at Mason City

Inactivated 3 November 1945 at Camp Patrick Henry, Virginia

Consolidated with Company H, 133d Infantry (see ANNEX 1), and consolidated unit reorganized and Federally recognized 7 January 1947 in the Iowa National Guard at Mason City as Company H, 133d Infantry

Reorganized and redesignated 1 May 1959 as the Reconnaissance Platoon, Combat Support Company, 1st Battle Group, 133d Infantry

Consolidated 1 March 1963 with Company E, 1st Battle Group, 133d Infantry (see ANNEX 2), and consolidated unit designated as Company E, 1st Battle Group, 133d Infantry; concurrently relieved from assignment to the 34th Infantry Division

            Reorganized and redesignated 1 March 1964 as Company A, 1st Battalion, 133d Infantry

            Converted, reorganized, and redesignated 1 January 1968 as the 1133d Transportation Company

Ordered into active Federal service 27 September 1990 at Mason City; released from active Federal service 13 June 1991 and reverted to state control

            Ordered into active Federal service 24 January 2003 at Mason City; released from active Federal service 8 June 2004 and reverted to state control

            Ordered into active Federal service 28 October 2008 at Mason City; released from active Federal service 1 December 2009 and reverted to state control

            Redesignated 4 July 1915 as Company D, 2d Infantry Regiment

            Mustered into Federal service 28 June 1916 at Camp Dodge, Iowa; mustered out of Federal service in early 1917 at Des Moines

            Called into Federal service 27 July 1917; drafted into Federal service 5 August 1917

            Reorganized and redesignated 1 October 1917 as Company D, 125th Machine Gun Battalion, an element of the 34th Division

            Redesignated 1 January 1918 as Company B, 125th Machine Gun Battalion

            Consolidated 29 March 1921 with Company C, 4th Infantry, Iowa State Guard (organized 7 May 1918 at Mason City), and consolidated unit concurrently reorganized and Federally recognized in the Iowa National Guard at Mason City as Company H, 134th Infantry

            Redesignated 11 July 1921 as Company H, 133d Infantry, an element of the 34th Division (later redesignated as the 34th Infantry Division)

            Inducted into Federal service 10 February 1941 at Mason City

            Inactivated 3 November 1945 at Camp Patrick Henry, Virginia

            Reorganized and Federally recognized 7 January 1947 in the Iowa National Guard at Mason City as Company H, 133d Infantry
