Complementing the Order of Battle, this 17-volume documentary collection of selected AEF records was reprinted not only to promote scholarship on World War I but also to fill a gap in the Army's historical documentation of that conflict. A new introduction by David F. Trask was added to Volume 1. Type was reset, but original pagination was not altered.
