A study of the United States Army’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID–19) pandemic that swept across the globe in early 2020 threatened the national security of the United States. The U.S. Army soon became involved in the fight against the virus. The service fought on two fronts: it assisted citizens and supported civil authorities throughout the nation at the same time as it strove to continue its missions and protect itself and its soldiers from the threat of COVID–19.
