(Companies A, B, and C, as the 176th, 177th, and 178th Replacement Companies, respectively - hereafter separate lineages)
Inactivated 2 July 1946 in Germany
Allotted 14 December 1962 to the Regular Army
Activated 15 December 1962 in Korea
Inactivated 21 June 1971 at Fort Lewis, Washington
Redesignated 15 January 1973 as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 38th Personnel and Administration Battalion, and activated in Germany
Inactivated 15 September 1990 in Germany
Redesignated 16 November 1994 as the 38th Personnel Services Battalion and activated in Germany
