  • Reconstituted 9 August 1948 in the Organized Reserve Corps as the 355th Chemical Smoke Generator Company
  • Activated 24 August 1948 at Linden, New Jersey
  • Ordered into active military service 11 September 1950 at Linden, New Jersey
  • (Organized Reserve Corps redesignated 9 July 1952 as the Army Reserve)
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 October 1953 as the 355th Chemical Company
  • Released from active military service 26 November 1954 and reverted to reserve status
  • Location changed 1 October 1955 to Buffalo, New York; on 1 October 1970 to Niagara Falls, New York; on 1 December 1975 to Altoona, Pennsylvania; on 1 February 1976 to Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania; and on 18 September 1999 to Las Vegas, Nevada
  • Element ordered into active military service 23 June 2007 at Las Vegas, Nevada; released from active military service 26 July 2008 and reverted to reserve status
  • Location changed 20 September 2015 to Sloan, Nevada
  • Ordered into active military service 22 September 2016 at Sloan, Nevada
