  • Constituted 25 August 1945 in the Army of the United States as the 107th Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, Military Government Group, and activated at the Presidio of Monterey, California
  • Reorganized and redesignated 20 February 1946 as the 107th Military Government, Headquarters and Headquarters Company
  • Inactivated 30 June 1946 in Japan
  • Redesignated 5 July 1949 as the 431st Military Government Company and allotted to the Organized Reserve Corps
  • Activated 29 July 1949 at Houston, Texas
  • (Organized Reserve Corps redesignated 9 July 1952 as the Army Reserve)
  • Inactivated 25 May 1955 at Houston, Texas
  • Activated 30 September 1955 at Little Rock, Arkansas
  • Reorganized and redesignated 15 October 1956 as the 431st Civil Affairs and Military Government Company
  • Redesignated 20 October 1959 as the 431st Civil Affairs Company
  • Location changed 19 March 1984 to North Little Rock, Arkansas
  • Company ordered into active military service 11 December 1990 to 3 January 1991 at North Little Rock, Arkansas; released from active military service 21 June 1991 and reverted to reserve status
  • Reorganized and redesignated 16 September 1992 as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 431st Civil Affairs Battalion (organic elements concurrently constituted and activated)
  • Battalion ordered into active military service in 2003 at North Little Rock, Arkansas; released from active military service in 2004 and reverted to reserve status
  • Ordered into active military service 7 October 2006 to 29 November 2006 at North Little Rock, Arkansas; released from active military service 3 April 2008 to 26 May 2008 and reverted to reserve status
  • (Company A ordered into active military service 17 March 2010 at North Little Rock, Arkansas; released from active military service 20 April 2011 and reverted to reserve status)
