  • Regiment broken up 15 February 1945 and its elements reorganized and redesignated as follows:
  • 2d Battalion as the 2827th Engineer Combat Battalion (Headquarters and Headquarters and Service Company as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 36th Engineer Combat Group; 1st Battalion as the 2826th Engineer Combat Battalion; 3d Battalion as the 2828th Engineer Combat Battalion--hereafter separate lineages)
  • 2827th Engineer Combat Battalion inactivated 25 February 1946 at Camp Kilmer, New Jersey
  • Redesignated 29 April 1947 as the 14th Engineer Combat Battalion
  • Activated 15 March 1950 in Japan
  • Redesignated 15 March 1954 as the 14th Engineer Battalion
  • Inactivated 25 June 1958 in Korea
  • Activated 17 June 1962 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina
  • (Organic elements inactivated 17 May 2007 at Fort Lewis, Washington; Support Company concurrently constituted and activated)
  • Assigned 16 October 2014 to the 2d Brigade Combat Team, 2d Infantry Division (Support Company concurrently inactivated and lettered companies activated)
