  • Redesignated 17 May 1947 as the 373d Engineer Construction Battalion and allotted to the Organized Reserves
  • Activated 11 June 1947 at Fargo, North Dakota
  • (Organized Reserves redesignated 25 March 1948 as the Organized Reserve Corps; redesignated 9 July 1952 as the Army Reserve)
  • Inactivated 15 November 1950 at Fargo, North Dakota
  • Redesignated 25 June 1952 as the 169th Engineer Construction Battalion
  • Redesignated 29 September 1954 as the 169th Engineer Battalion, withdrawn from the Army Reserve, and allotted to the Regular Army
  • Activated 15 November 1954 at Camp Stewart, Georgia
  • Inactivated 30 April 1972 at Oakland Army Base, California
  • Headquarters transferred 30 September 1986 to the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command and activated at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri
