  • Constituted 1 December 1967 in the New York Army National Guard as the 204th Engineer Battalion
  • Organized 1 February 1968 from existing units in south-central New York with Headquarters at Binghamton
  • Reorganized 1 September 2006 to consist of Headquarters Company and the Support Company (former Companies A, B, and C reorganized as Detachment 1, 827th Engineer Company, the 827th Engineer Company, and Detachment 1, 1156th Engineer Company, respectively)
