  • Activated 24 November 1947 at Benton Harbor, Michigan
  • (Organized Reserves redesignated 25 March 1948 as the Organized Reserve Corps; redesignated 9 July 1952 as the Army Reserve)
  • Ordered into active military service 11 September 1950 at Benton Harbor, Michigan
  • Reorganized and redesignated 20 November 1954 as the 317th Engineer Company
