  • Allotted 16 November 1948 to the Organized Reserve Corps
  • Activated 23 November 1948 at Linden, New Jersey
  • Reorganized and redesignated 25 April 1952 as the 699th Engineer Pipeline Company
  • (Organized Reserve Corps redesignated 9 July 1952 as the Army Reserve)
  • Reorganized and redesignated 7 March 1954 as the 699th Engineer Company
  • Location changed 1 February 1963 to Jersey City, New Jersey; on 27 November 1978 to Ceiba, Puerto Rico
  • Ordered into active military service 10 February 2003 at Ceiba, Puerto Rico; released from active military service 19 June 2003 and reverted to reserve status
  • Inactivated 15 September 2006 at Ceiba, Puerto Rico
  • Redesignated 31 May 2018 as the 699th Engineer Detachment
  • Activated 16 September 2020 at Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico
