236th Military Police Company

  • Organized and Federally recognized 20 October 1949 in the Texas Army National Guard at San Antonio as the Medical Detachment, 112th Armored Cavalry
  • Converted and redesignated 16 March 1959 as Company B, 136th Signal Battalion, an element of the 36th Infantry Division
  • Consolidated 15 January 1968 with Company C, 136th Signal Battalion (organized and Federally recognized 1 March 1963 at San Antonio); consolidated unit converted and redesignated as the 36th Military Police Company, and relieved from assignment to the 36th Infantry Division
  • Redesignated 1 November 1973 as the 149th Military Police Company and assigned to the 49th Armored Division
  • Ordered into active Federal service 9 September 2002 at San Antonio; released from active Federal service 8 September 2003 and reverted to state control
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 May 2004 as the 236th Military Police Company and assigned to the 36th Infantry Division1
  • Ordered into active Federal service 25 June 2007 at San Antonio; released from active Federal service 28 July 2008 and reverted to state control
