            Organized and Federally recognized 11 February 1947 in the Tennessee National Guard at Murfreesboro as the 30th Mechanized Cavalry Reconnaissance Troop, an element of the 30th Infantry Division

            Reorganized and redesignated 1 December 1948 as the 30th Reconnaissance Company
           
            Reorganized and redesignated 15 September 1949 as the Assault Gun Company, 1st Battalion, 173d Armored Cavalry, and relieved from assignment to the 30th Infantry Division
           
            Reorganized and redesignated 16 May 1951 as the Howitzer Company, 1st Battalion, 173d Armored Cavalry
           
            Reorganized and redesignated 27 October 1954 as Company A, 175th Tank Battalion, an element of the 30th Armored Division
           
            Reorganized and redesignated 1 March 1959 as a detachment of Headquarters Company, 3d Medium Tank Battalion, 109th Armor, an element of the 30th Armored Division
           
            Converted, reorganized, and redesignated 1 April 1963 as Company E, 30th Maintenance Battalion, an element of the 30th Armored Division
           
            Converted, reorganized, and redesignated 22 April 1963 as Company B, 30th Aviation Battalion, an element of the 30th Armored Division

            Reorganized and redesignated 1 February 1968 as the 331st Aviation Company and relieved from assignment to the 30th Armored Division

            Converted, reorganized, and redesignated 1 July 1969 as the 568th Light Maintnenace Company

            Reorganized and redesignated 1 February 1972 as Company A, 30th Maintenance Battalion, an element of the 30th Armored Division

            Reorganized and redesignated 1 November 1973 as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 177th Maintenance Battalion, and relieved from assignment to the 30th Armored Division

            Converted, reorganized, and redesignated 1 September 1992 as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 177th Quartermaster Battalion

            Location changed 1 March 1976 to Smyrna

            Consolidated 1 October 1996 with the 269th Military Police Company (organized 
1 March 1996 at Murfreesboro) and consolidated unit designated as the 269th Military Police Company

            Ordered into active Federal service 6 December 2002 at Murfreesboro; released from active Federal service 17 July 2004 and reverted to state control

            Ordered into active Federal service 12 November 2008 at Murfreesboro; released from active Federal service 16 December 2009 and reverted to state control
