(While remaining in state service the 4th Company, 11th Battalion, additionally formed Company B, 203d New York Volunteer Infantry, and mustered into Federal service 19 July 1898 at Camp Black, New York; mustered out of Federal service 25 March 1899 at Greenville, South Carolina)

Reorganized and redesignated 15 March 1899 as Company A, 1st Infantry Regiment

Reorganized and redesignated 1 May 1905 as Company G, 10th Infantry

Mustered into Federal service 21 July 1917 at Yonkers; drafted into Federal service

Reorganized and redesignated 4 January 1918 as Company G, 51st Pioneer Infantry

Demobilized 8 July 1919 at Camp Upton, New York

Consolidated 10 November 1921 with Company G, 1st Infantry, New York Guard (see ANNEX 1), and consolidated unit expanded, reorganized, and Federally recognized in the New York National Guard at Yonkers as the 27th Military Police Company and the 102d Motorcycle Company (102d Motorcycle Company – hereafter separate lineage)

27th Military Police Company assigned 17 November 1921 to the 27th Division (later redesignated as the 27th Infantry Division)

Inducted into Federal service 15 October 1940 at Yonkers

Reorganized and redesignated 1 September 1942 as the Military Police Platoon, Headquarters Company, 27th Infantry Division

Inactivated 31 December 1945 at Fort Lawton, Washington

Reorganized and redesignated 22 September 1946 as the 27th Military Police Company, an element of the 27th Infantry Division

Consolidated 27 September 1946 with the 42d Military Police Company (see ANNEX 2) and consolidated unit designated as the 42d Military Police Company, an element of the 42d Infantry Division

Reorganized and Federally recognized 1 July 1947 at Mount Vernon

Reorganized and redesignated 16 March 1959 as the Military Police Detachment, Headquarters Company, 42d Infantry Division

Reorganized and redesignated 15 April 1963 as the 42d Military Police Company, an element of the 42d Infantry Division

Ordered into active Federal service 24 March 1970 at Mount Vernon; released from active Federal service 30 March 1970 and reverted to state control

Consolidated 1 April 1975 with Headquarters Detachment, 3d Special Forces Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group, 1st Special Forces (see ANNEX 3), and Company C, 3d Special Forces Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group, 1st Special Forces (organized and Federally recognized 1 December 1972 at White Plains), and consolidated unit designated as the 42d Military Police Company with location at White Plains

Location changed 1 March 1977 to New York; on 1 April 1984 to Peekskill

Consolidated 8 February 1986 with Detachment 1, 42d Military Police Company (organized and Federally recognized 1 August 1977 at Ossining), and consolidated unit designated as the 42d Military Police Company; location concurrently changed to Valhalla

Redesignated 1 September 1993 as the 442d Military Police Company and relieved from assignment to the 42d Infantry Division

Location changed 1 February 1993 to Orangeburg

Ordered into active Federal service 10 February 2003 at Orangeburg; released from active Federal service 17 June 2004 and reverted to state control
