Organized and Federally recognized 1 July 1977 in the Virgin Islands Army National Guard on St. Croix as the 664th Signal Company

Reorganized and redesignated 1 June 1979 as Company D, 111th Signal Battalion

(Reorganized and redesignated 1 April 1981 as the Virgin Islands Army National Guard Signal Support Activity, St. Croix, a Table of Distribution and Allowances Unit)

Consolidated 1 October 2005 with the 651st Maintenance Company (organized and Federally recognized 1 April 1978 as the 652d Maintenance Company), and consolidated unit designated as the 651st Maintenance Company

Ordered into active Federal service 4 April 2007 on St. Croix; released from active Federal service 7 May 2008 and reverted to state control
