            Organized and Federally recognized 1 December 1947 in the Iowa National Guard at Knoxville as Company A, 168th Infantry, an element of the 34th Infantry Division

            Converted, reorganized, and redesignated 1 May 1959 as Headquarters Company, 2d Medium Tank Battalion, 113th Armor, an element of the 34th Infantry Division

            Reorganized and redesignated 1 March 1963 as Headquarters Company, 2d Battalion, 113th Armor, and relieved from assignment to the 34th Infantry Division
           
            Converted, reorganized, and redesignated 1 January 1968 as the 184th Military Police Company
           
            Converted, reorganized, and redesignated 8 January 1972 as the 3654th Maintenance Company

            Ordered into active Federal service 24 January 1991 at Knoxville; released from active Federal service 21 May 1991 and reverted to state control

            Ordered into active Federal service 15 March 2003 at Knoxville; released from active Federal service 10 April 2004 and reverted to state control

HOME STATION: Knoxville (less detachment at Oskaloosa)
