126th Quartermaster Company

  • Organized and Federally recognized 5 August 1924 in the Illinois National Guard at Quincy as the Medical Detachment, 130th Infantry, an element of the 33d Division (later redesignated as the 33d Infantry Division)
  • Inducted into Federal service 5 March 1941 at Quincy
  • Inactivated 5 February 1946 in Japan
  • (130th Infantry relieved 5 July 1946 from assignment to the 33d Infantry Division and assigned to the 44th Infantry Division)
  • Reorganized and Federally recognized 15 July 1948 at Quincy as the Medical Platoon, 2d Battalion, 123d Infantry, an element of the 44th Infantry Division
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 April 1949 as the Medical Company, 123d Infantry
  • Ordered into active Federal service 15 February 1952 at Quincy
  • Released 10 October 1954 from active Federal service, reverted to state control, and relieved from assignment to the 44th Infantry Division; concurrently consolidated with the Medical Company, 132d Infantry (organized and Federally recognized 22 March 1954 at Quincy), and consolidated unit designated as the Medical Company, 132d Infantry, an element of the 33d Infantry Division
  • Redesignated 1 December 1954 as the Medical Company, 130th Infantry, an element of the 33d Infantry Division
  • Converted and redesignated 1 March 1959 as the 126th Ordnance Company and relieved from assignment to the 33d Infantry Division
  • Consolidated 1 February 1968 with the 128th Ordnance Company (organized and Federally recognized 1 May 1954 at Quincy) and consolidated unit reorganized and redesignated as the 126th Supply and Service Company
  • Ordered into active Federal service 13 May 1968 at Quincy; released 20 August 1969 from active Federal service and reverted to state control
  • Redesignated 1 September 1990 as the 126th Quartermaster Company
  • Converted and redesignated 1 September 1997 as the 126th Maintenance Company
  • Ordered into active Federal service 7 February 2003 at Quincy; released 15 October 2003 from active Federal service and reverted to state control
  • Converted and redesignated 1 September 2006 as the 1844th Transportation Company
  • Ordered into active Federal service 31 January 2008 at Quincy; released from active Federal service 5 March 2009 and reverted to state control
  • Consolidated 1 September 2016 with Detachment 1, 1844th Transportation Company (organized and Federally recognized 18 November 1999 at Beardstown), and consolidated unit designated as the 126th Quartermaster Company
