(Companies A, B, C, and D as the 3145th, 3146th, 3147th, and 3148th Quartermaster Companies, respectively - hereafter separate lineages)
Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 247th Quartermaster Battalion, inactivated 25 January 1946 in the Philippine Islands
Redesignated 14 December 1962 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 247th Quartermaster Battalion, and allotted to the Army Reserve (organic elements concurrently constituted)
Battalion activated 7 January 1963 with Headquarters at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
