  • Reorganized and Federally recognized 6 August 1947 in the Indiana National Guard as Battery B, 150th Field Artillery Battalion, an element of the 38th Infantry Division
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 February 1959 as Battery B, 2d Howitzer Battalion, 139th Artillery
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 March 1963 as Battery C, 1st Battalion, 150th Artillery
  • Converted, reorganized and redesignated 1 November 1965 as the 2d and 3d Forward Area Signal Platoons, Company B, 138th Signal Battalion
  • Consolidated 1 February 1972 with Company B, 138th Signal Battalion (see ANNEX), and consolidated unit designated as Company B, 138th Signal Battalion
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 May 1991 as Company C, 138th Signal Battalion
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 September 2008 as the Signal Company, 38th Sustainment Brigade, and relieved from assignment to the 38th Infantry Division
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 September 2011 as the 338th Signal Company
