  • Consolidated 15 January 1968 with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 152d Engineer Group (organized and Federally recognized 26 March 1953 at Birmingham), Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 143d Quartermaster Group (organized and Federally recognized 17 April 1956 at Birmingham), consolidated unit redesignated as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 167th Support Brigade; and relieved from assignment to the 31st Infantry Division
  • Consolidated 1 February 1972 with Detachment 2, Company A, 131st Signal Battalion (organized and Federally recognized 15 January 1968 at Birmingham), and consolidated unit designated as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 167th Support Brigade
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 March 1976 as Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 167th Support Command
  • Reorganized and redesignated 16 September 2006 as Headquarters and Special Troops Battalion, 167th Sustainment Command
  • Location changed 1 July 2009 to Fort McClellan, Alabama
