308th Support Battalion Lineage

Constituted 23 February 1943 in the Army of the United States as the 308th Quartermaster Sterilization Battalion

Activated 26 April 1943 at Vancouver Barracks, Washington

Battalion broken up 1 August 1943 and its elements reorganized and redesignated as follows:

Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment as Headquarters and Headquarters
Detachment, 308th Quartermaster Fumigation and Bath Battalion

(Companies A, B, C, and D as the 855th, 856th, 857th, and 858th Quartermaster Fumigation and Bath Companies, respectively - hereafter separate lineages)

Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 308th Quartermaster Fumigation and Bath Battalion, reorganized and redesignated 1 November 1943 as Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 308th Quartermaster Battalion

Inactivated 25 November 1945 in Austria

Redesignated 14 September 1961 as the 308th Quartermaster Battalion and allotted to the Regular Army (organic elements concurrently constituted)

Activated 25 September 1961 in Germany

Reorganized and redesignated 2 August 1965 as the 308th Supply and Service Battalion

Inactivated 26 July 1971 in Germany

Redesignated 15 June 2005 as the 308th Support Battalion

Activated 18 July 2007 at Fort Lewis, Washington
