  • Inactivated 2 April 1946 at Camp Kilmer, New Jersey
  • Converted and redesignated 1 August 1946 as the 401st Transportation Corps Truck Company
  • Redesignated 1 February 1949 as the 401st Transportation Truck Company and allotted to the Organized Reserve Corps
  • Activated 10 March 1949 at Providence, Rhode Island
  • Inactivated 13 September 1949 at Providence, Rhode Island
  • Activated 6 November 1950 at Wilmington, Delaware
  • (Organized Reserve Corps redesignated on 9 July 1952 as the Army Reserve)
  • Reorganized and redesignated 2 June 1953 as the 401st Transportation Company
  • Inactivated 25 May 1959 at Wilmington, Delaware
  • Activated 16 April 1995 at Battle Creek, Michigan
  • Ordered into active military service 15 August 2003 (additional element ordered into active military service 7 December 2003) at Battle Creek, Michigan; released from active military service 14 January 2005 (additional element released from active military service 3 June 2005) and reverted to reserve status
