  • Constituted 28 May 1943 in the Army of the United States as the 55th Quartermaster Truck Battalion
  • Consolidated 7 July 1943 with the 2639th Quartermaster Truck Battalion (Provisional) (organized 13 March 1943 in Algeria) and consolidated unit designated as the 55th Quartermaster Truck Battalion
  • Company C, 55th Quartermaster Truck Battalion reorganized and redesignated 19 December 1943 as the 3359th Quartermaster Truck Company (remainder of battalion hereafter separate lineages)
  • 3359th Quartermaster Truck Company inactivated 6 April 1946 at Camp Kilmer, New Jersey
  • Converted and redesignated 1 August 1946 as the 3359th Transportation Corps Truck Company
  • Redesignated 5 October 1948 as the 730th Transportation Truck Company and allotted to the Organized Reserve Corps
  • Activated 29 October 1948 at Reno, Nevada
  • Reorganized and redesignated 13 June 1949 as the 730th Transportation Heavy Truck Company
  • Location changed 10 April 1950 to Fresno, California
  • (Organized Reserve Corps redesignated 9 July 1952 as the Army Reserve)
  • Reorganized and redesignated 20 May 1953 as the 730th Transportation Company
  • Inactivated 16 September 1980 at Fresno, California
  • Activated 16 September 2010 at Bell, California
  • Ordered into active military service 20 February 2014 at Bell, California; released from active military service 26 March 2015 and reverted to reserve status
