- Consolidated 7 July 1943 with the 2639th Quartermaster Truck Battalion (Provisional) (organized 13 March 1943 in Algeria) and consolidated unit designated as the 55th Quartermaster Truck Battalion
- Company C, 55th Quartermaster Truck Battalion reorganized and redesignated 19 December 1943 as the 3359th Quartermaster Truck Company (remainder of battalion hereafter separate lineages)
- 3359th Quartermaster Truck Company inactivated 6 April 1946 at Camp Kilmer, New Jersey
- Converted and redesignated 1 August 1946 as the 3359th Transportation Corps Truck Company
- Redesignated 5 October 1948 as the 730th Transportation Truck Company and allotted to the Organized Reserve Corps
- Activated 29 October 1948 at Reno, Nevada
- Reorganized and redesignated 13 June 1949 as the 730th Transportation Heavy Truck Company
- Location changed 10 April 1950 to Fresno, California
