  • Constituted 16 June 1959 in the Louisiana Army National Guard as the 177th, 178th, 181st, 182d, 183d, and 184th Special Forces Operational Detachments, and the 190th Special Forces Operational Administration Detachment
  • 177th, 178th, 181st and 182d Special Forces Operational Detachments organized and Federally recognized 1 July 1959 at New Orleans; 183d and 184th Special Forces Operational Detachments and the 190th Special Forces Operational Administration Detachment organized and Federally recognized 1 August 1959 at New Orleans
  • Above units consolidated 15 January 1960 to form the 177th Special Forces Operational Detachment
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 May 1961 as Headquarters Company, 21st Special Forces Group, 1st Special Forces
  • Consolidated 1 May 1963 with Company A, 21st Special Forces Group, 1st Special Forces (organized and Federally recognized 1 May 1961 at New Orleans), and consolidated unit reorganized and redesignated as Company D, 20th Special Forces Group, 1st Special Forces
  • Converted, reorganized, and redesignated 1 September 1971 as the 2224th Engineer Company
  • Consolidated 1 November 1975 with the 39th Military Police Company (see ANNEX), and consolidated unit reorganized and redesignated as the 239th Military Police Company
  • Reorganized and redesignated 1 March 1977 as the 39th Military Police Company
  • Ordered into active Federal service 6 December 1990 at New Orleans; released from active Federal service 26 May 1991 and reverted to state control
  • Converted, reorganized, and redesignated 1 September 1997 as the 1084th Transportation Company
  • Location changed 1 October 2001 to Reserve

  • Constituted 17 April 1963 in the Louisiana Army National Guard as the 39th Military Police Company and assigned to the 39th Infantry Division
  • Organized and Federally recognized 1 May 1963 at New Orleans
  • Relieved 1 December 1967 from assignment to the 39th Infantry Division
  • HOME STATION: Reserve (less detachment at Slidell)
