         Organized and Federally recognized 26 October 1948 in the North Carolina Army National Guard at Lenoir as the Service Battery, 112th Field Artillery Battalion, an element of the 30th Infantry Division

        Reorganized and redesignated 28 October 1954 as Battery B, 112th Field Artillery Battalion

        Reorganized and redesignated 1 April 1959 as Battery A, 5th Howitzer Battalion, 113th Artillery, an element of the 30th Infantry Division

        Reorganized and redesignated 10 March 1963 as Battery A, 1st Battalion, 113th Artillery, an element of the 30th Infantry Division

        Converted, reorganized, and redesignated 1 January 1968 as the 1450th Transportation Company and relieved from assignment to the 30th Infantry Division

        Reorganized and redesignated 1 September 1980 as Detachment 1, 1450th Transportation Company

Ordered into active Federal service 11 October 1990 at Lenoir; released from active Federal service 5 May 1991 and reverted to state control

Ordered into active Federal service 15 January 2004 at Lenoir; released from active Federal service 12 July 2005 and reverted to state control

Reorganized and redesignated 1 September 2009 as the 1450th Transportation Company
