Iraqi radio is tan and retangular in shape. On the front of the radio, "iret PRC 638" is stamped in black ink followed by Arabic writing also printed in black. On the reverse, there are two red outlined boxes with red arabic writing inside them. Below that, there is handprinted arabic writing in red. The radio has two sections. The upper is the radio and the lower is the battery compartment. The top, or control station, has six knobs, on switch, and three adapters; one for the antenna, and two for the handset. The four knobs on the upper portion has numbers around them. The first know is numbered 3-7; the second, 1-8; the third, 1-8; and the fourth 00, 25, 50, and 75. The antenna, switch, lower knobs, and the hanset ports all are surrounded by Arabic writings. Near the antenna, there is a green indicator light. The radio has various scratches and the paint is chipping around the edges. On the left side, there are two black painted circles. Alos on the left, there is a serial number plate "Ser. No. 56220". The radio is very dusty. |
